PlayStation 3 Sales Get Huge Boost In Japan, Thanks To Final Fantasy XIII Demo

To say the release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete on Blu-ray in Japan gave the PlayStation 3 a “sales bump” might be underselling it. The movie’s re-release nearly quadrupled PS3 sales in Japan.

Of course, it’s not just the movie that’s lighting a fire under new PlayStation 3 owners. Sales on other hardware fronts were mostly static, if down slightly. The bestselling hardware in handy list form for the week of April 13th to the 19th is as follows.
